Karman Space & Defense (NYSE: KRMN) announced that Doug Laurendeau will join the company as chief growth officer, effective May 6, 2026. Laurendeau previously served as vice president of Enterprise Strategy Integration at Lockheed Martin Corporation.

The appointment represents a leadership transition at the Huntington Beach, California-based aerospace and defense company. Current chief growth officer Stephanie Sawhill will assume the role of chief technologist on the same date.

Laurendeau brings more than four decades of experience at Lockheed Martin, where he led development of growth strategy for a $70 billion business portfolio. In his previous role, Laurendeau oversaw growth initiatives in joint all-domain command and control, air and missile defense, undersea, and aviation markets, according to the company statement.

"As our new chief growth officer, Doug brings valuable experience to Karman at a time when market dynamics and customer demand position us for continued, profitable growth," said Jon Rambeau, chief executive officer of Karman Space & Defense.

Sawhill will focus on expanding Karman's technical capabilities and integrated system designs in her new role as chief technologist. She will continue developing strategic customer relationships and representing the company within the industry.

Karman Space & Defense operates as a contractor for space and defense programs, serving more than 80 prime contractors across more than 130 programs. The company provides payload and protection systems, hydro/aerodynamic interstage systems, and propulsion and launch systems.
