Hycroft Mining names Eric Colby as executive VP of corporate development
Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (NASDAQ: HYMC) appointed Eric Colby as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, the company announced.
Colby brings nearly two decades of mining industry experience, including roles in mine development, joint ventures, and operations. He has executed more than $20 billion in public and private transactions during his career, according to the press release.
The executive spent 15 years with Newmont Corporation in positions spanning corporate development, investor relations, finance, and operations in South America. Most recently, Colby served as Vice President, Operations at Magris Performance Materials, overseeing a portfolio of mines and processing operations across the U.S. and Canada.

Hycroft operates the Hycroft Mine in northern Nevada and is transitioning from oxide heap leach operations to a milling operation for processing sulfide mineralization. The company announced the discovery of two new high-grade silver systems in 2023 and is conducting a drilling program through 2026 to expand these systems.
