Emerita Resources renews Nuevo Tintillo permit, appoints new director
Emerita Resources Corp. (TSX-V: EMO; OTCQX: EMOTF; FSE: LLJA) announced it received a three-year renewal of the Investigation Permit for its Nuevo Tintillo property in Spain's Iberian Pyrite Belt. The permit covers 227 mining claims comprising 6,874.2 hectares in Seville Province, Andalusia Region.
The company reported discovering a new mineralized trend approximately 1.5 kilometers northwest of the historic Santa Flora copper mine. The trend comprises two areas of outcropping gossan and siliceous breccias extending over approximately 400 meters. Samples from both areas contained gold and silver, with the westernmost area showing grades up to 4.46 grams per tonne gold and 48.6 grams per tonne silver. The second area recorded grades up to 1.52 grams per tonne gold and 22.2 grams per tonne silver.
Emerita plans to conduct systematic exploration including detailed geophysical ground surveys and geological mapping to prepare for a future diamond drill program.
The company appointed David Patterson as an independent director, effective immediately. Patterson has over 30 years of experience in mineral exploration and development companies across North America. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Quebec Nickel Corp. and was a founding director of Emerita from 2013 until 2018, participating in the acquisition of the Iberian Belt West project and the Aznalcollar project.
Patterson replaces Michael Jones, who resigned from the board citing time commitment conflicts with his full-time job requirements.
