Deep Sea Minerals Corp. (CSE: SEAS) (OTCQB: DSEAF) (FSE: X450) announced the appointment of Anthony Zelen to its board of directors, effective immediately. The subsea mineral exploration company also said Barry Greene will step down from the board.

Zelen brings over 30 years of experience in public markets, with expertise in finance, investor relations, and corporate development. He co-founded Mindshare Communications Inc. and Senergy Communications Capital Inc., both specializing in investor relations and strategic marketing for publicly traded companies across technology, cannabis, pharmaceuticals, mining, and oil and gas sectors.

The executive has served as an officer and director for more than 18 publicly listed companies and has co-founded and advised over a dozen startup ventures. His experience spans venture capital and includes building networks of investors and investment banking professionals across North America, Europe, and Asia.

"His extensive capital markets experience, global network, and strategic insight will be invaluable as we continue to advance the Company's growth initiatives," said James Deckelman, chief executive officer of Deep Sea Minerals.

Greene, who served on the board during the company's earlier phase under its former name Copperhead Resources, contributed during the foundational period and transition, according to the company.

In connection with his appointment, the company granted Zelen 100,000 restricted share units under its equity incentive plan. The units will vest according to plan terms and require regulatory approvals.

Deep Sea Minerals focuses on subsea mineral exploration and development, particularly polymetallic nodule systems containing metals relevant to defense, manufacturing, clean energy infrastructure, electronics, and artificial intelligence supply chains. The company has begun early-stage engagement with governments and regulatory bodies in the Pacific Ocean region to assess potential exploration pathways.
