Cloudflare partners with Wiz to address AI security risks

April 14, 2026 9:01 AM

Cloudflare Inc. (NYSE: NET) announced a partnership with cloud security company Wiz to help organizations identify and protect AI-powered applications across their infrastructure. The integration combines Cloudflare's AI Security for Apps with Wiz's Security Graph platform.

The partnership addresses challenges organizations face as they deploy AI features faster than security teams can monitor them. Each new AI-powered endpoint represents potential attack surfaces vulnerable to prompt injection and data exfiltration, according to the company statement.

The integration allows organizations to discover AI endpoints across their web properties, including those deployed without security team involvement. Cloudflare's AI Security for Apps runs real-time detections on requests to identify risks such as personally identifiable information leakage and prompt injection attacks.

Wiz maps data flows between AI applications and data stores, providing visibility into where sensitive data interacts with AI workloads. The platform verifies whether AI deployments are protected by Cloudflare's security tools and alerts teams when guardrails are missing or misconfigured.

"When talking with CISOs today, they are struggling with the balance of being an enabler of innovation with AI, while combating uncontrolled shadow AI across their organization," said Tom Evans, Chief Partner Officer at Cloudflare.

The solution operates without requiring custom workflows or additional agents. Cloudflare's detections run on its global network, while Wiz is now part of Google Cloud. The integration works across different large language models and cloud providers.

Organizations can prioritize remediation by identifying which unprotected AI endpoints have access to sensitive data or production systems. The partnership aims to help security teams accelerate AI adoption while maintaining security controls.
