SEALSQ showcases quantum satellite technology at Colorado Space Summit

April 14, 2026 8:30 AM

SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) and WISeSat.Space participated in the Space Symposium in Colorado from April 13-16, demonstrating quantum-resilient satellite technology during World Quantum Day. The companies unveiled their Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud platform roadmap at the event.

WISeSat, a subsidiary of SEALSQ's parent company WISeKey International Holding Ltd (SIX: WIHN, NASDAQ: WKEY), focuses on space technology for secure satellite communication and IoT applications.

The companies presented their 6U post-quantum satellite platform, with the first launch scheduled for November 2026. They demonstrated how the WISeSat constellation enables secure, space-based connectivity through quantum-resistant technology.

The QSOC platform is designed as a commercial quantum-enabled orbital cloud service, built on a planned 100-satellite constellation. The platform intends to provide quantum key distribution, quantum random number generation, and post-quantum digital identity services to governments, enterprises, and defense organizations.

The platform features a dual-layer architecture where WISeSat operates the orbital infrastructure and SEALSQ manages the quantum cloud layer. The system targets 99.9% uptime for quantum security services.

WISeSat's first phase includes 15 satellites expected to launch and become operational by 2027. The deployment is fully funded, according to the company. The next satellite is scheduled to launch on a SpaceX rocket in June 2026.

"This marks a pivotal moment in our mission to democratize access to secure space infrastructure," said Carlos Moreira, Founder and CEO of SEALSQ. "With the launch of QSOC and the integration of post-quantum cybersecurity into our satellite ecosystem, we are building a future-proof foundation for a trusted digital world powered from orbit."

The companies engaged with aerospace stakeholders, research institutions, and government agencies at the symposium to establish strategic partnerships supporting the constellation's expansion.
