April 13, 2026 5:08 PM

Investing.com -- Shares of Bloom Energy rose over 6% in after-hours trading on Monday, adding to the day's 5.98% gain, after the company announced an expanded partnership with Oracle to deploy fuel cell systems for AI and cloud infrastructure.

Under a master services agreement, Oracle contracted an initial 1.2 gigawatts of capacity, with deployment underway across Oracle projects in the United States and continuing into next year. The agreement includes an option for up to 2.8 gigawatts total.

The fuel cell systems are designed to support Oracle's cloud infrastructure demands, the company said.

The deal builds on an existing partnership. In a previous deployment, Bloom Energy delivered a fuel cell system to Oracle in 55 days, ahead of the anticipated 90-day schedule, according to a press release.

Bloom's fuel cell systems are designed for higher-density AI workloads and include technology aligned with emerging 800 V dc standards. The modular systems can be deployed faster than traditional power solutions, the company said.

On April 9, Bloom issued a warrant to Oracle on terms previously announced on October 30, 2025.
