Gevo Inc. (NASDAQ: GEVO) appointed Joan Cetera as Vice President of Communications and Public Relations, the renewable fuels company announced.

Cetera brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise communications for publicly traded companies, with expertise in executive communications, reputational management and communications strategy during organizational changes, according to the company statement.

In her new role, Cetera will oversee corporate communications and public relations, supporting internal communications, media engagement and external messaging as Gevo advances its strategy in renewable fuels, carbon solutions and sustainability markets.

"Clear, credible communications are critical as Gevo continues to execute on its strategy," said Gevo Chief of Staff Kimberly Bowron. "Joan's experience and leadership will help ensure our communications reflect the substance of our work and support our engagement with employees, investors, partners, and other stakeholders."

The appointment supports what the company described as a broader leadership transition at Gevo.

Gevo develops renewable fuels and chemicals and operates facilities including an ethanol plant with carbon capture and sequestration capabilities and a dairy-based renewable natural gas facility. The company also operates a specialty alcohol-to-jet fuels and chemicals production facility and is developing a large-scale facility in North Dakota.
