Geron appoints Timothy Williams as chief legal officer
Geron Corporation (NASDAQ: GERN) announced the appointment of Timothy Williams as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary.
Williams previously served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Vanda Pharmaceuticals from 2018 until March 2026. Before joining Vanda, he held the position of Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at AgNovos Bioscience.
Earlier in his career, Williams worked as Senior Legal Counsel and Assistant Secretary at Stryker Corporation, where he led the legal department's global mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities groups. He also practiced law in Chicago at Mayer Brown and Bryan Cave.
Williams holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan and bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Michigan University.

Geron is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on blood cancer treatments. The company's telomerase inhibitor RYTELO (imetelstat) is approved in the United States and European Union for treating certain adult patients with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes with transfusion dependent anemia.
The company is conducting a Phase 3 clinical trial of imetelstat in JAK-inhibitor relapsed/refractory myelofibrosis and studies in other blood cancers.
