Nova Minerals appoints Ashlie Thorburn as chief financial officer
Nova Minerals Limited (NASDAQ: NVA) (ASX: NVA) (FRA: QM3) announced the appointment of Ashlie Thorburn as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 20, 2026.
Thorburn brings over 20 years of finance experience in senior leadership roles within the mining industry across publicly-listed and private companies. Her background includes expertise in SEC, TSX and ASX reporting, financial reporting, audit and compliance, corporate governance, and investor relations support.
Most recently, Thorburn served as U.S. Finance Lead at Southwest Critical Materials, where she handled acquisition integration, budgeting, treasury management and private equity reporting. Previously, she worked as Senior Manager at Armanino Advisory and held the position of Vice President, Controller at Hycroft Mining Holding Corp.
Nova CEO Christopher Gerteisen stated that Thorburn's appointment strengthens the executive leadership team as the company advances its Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project in Alaska. He highlighted her experience in U.S. capital markets, SEC reporting and compliance, which will support the company's governance framework and U.S. market presence.
Thorburn commented that she is joining at a pivotal time for Nova Minerals and looks forward to working with the leadership team to strengthen the company's financial position and support advancement of the Estelle Project.
Nova Minerals is developing the Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project in Alaska, which hosts two multi-million-ounce gold resources and more than 20 prospects along a 35-kilometer mineralized trend. The company is also advancing its critical minerals strategy with a $43.4 million U.S. Department of War award to develop a domestic antimony supply chain, targeted for production in late 2026 or 2027.
