Roblox launches subscription plan priced at $4.99 monthly
Roblox Corporation (NYSE: RBLX) announced the launch of Roblox Plus, a subscription service priced at $4.99 per month that will be available globally starting April 30, 2026.
The subscription offers users a 10% discount on in-game purchases and avatar items, which increases to 20% after the third consecutive month of membership. Subscribers will receive unlimited access to private servers across supported games, the ability to send Robux to other users without transaction fees, and expanded marketplace trading capabilities.
"We're always looking for new ways to deliver value to our global community," said Enrico D'Angelo, Chief Business Officer at Roblox. "Roblox Plus is designed to reward our most engaged users while ensuring that creators continue to benefit as the platform grows."
Roblox will cover the discount costs, allowing creators to maintain their current earnings per item. The company stated that creators may earn more overall as subscribers can spread their Robux across additional purchases. Creators will also have access to new monetization opportunities, including rewards for Plus subscriber engagement with paid private servers and bonus Robux for acquiring new subscribers through their games.
With the introduction of Roblox Plus, the company will discontinue new sign-ups for its existing Roblox Premium subscription. Current Premium members can continue their membership and will receive a one-month trial of Roblox Plus. Beginning May 30, certain Premium benefits including the 10% bonus on Robux purchases and Premium profile badge will be discontinued.
Roblox plans to add the option for subscribers to include recurring monthly Robux as part of their subscription following the initial rollout.
