AMTD Group reports $789 million cumulative box office from film portfolio
AMTD Group Inc., along with its publicly traded subsidiaries AMTD IDEA Group (NYSE: AMTD), AMTD Digital Inc. (NYSE: HKD), and The Generation Essentials Group (NYSE: TGE), announced that films produced under the AMTD banner have generated more than $789 million in cumulative global box office revenue.
The company's recent film "Scare Out" has earned $197 million in box office receipts. Other AMTD-produced films include "Shock Wave 2" with approximately $191 million, "Moscow Mission" with $94 million, "The Goldfinger" with $90 million, and "The Last Dance" with $50 million in box office revenue.
AMTD has scheduled additional film releases for this year, including "Mother Bhumi" and "Dog Day Evening," along with a re-release of "Shock Wave 2." The company stated it expects to expand its movie and entertainment business operations.
AMTD Group operates as a conglomerate with business activities spanning media and entertainment, education and training, and premium assets and hospitality sectors.
