PayPal integrates payment links into Canva design platform

April 9, 2026 8:04 AM

PayPal Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: PYPL) announced the availability of PayPal Payment Links directly within Canva's design platform, enabling the visual communication company's 265 million monthly users to accept payments from their designs.

The integration allows creators, entrepreneurs and small businesses to generate payment links or QR codes within Canva designs and accept payments through PayPal, Venmo, and PayPal Pay Later without requiring a separate website or storefront. Users can customize PayPal-hosted payment pages with product images, details and pricing.

The service supports payments in multiple currencies across approximately 200 markets. Customers can make purchases directly from digital or printed designs shared across social platforms, email, messaging applications and in-person interactions.

"Today's entrepreneurs are no longer only building traditional storefronts—they are creating profitable businesses in real time through social content, online communities, and direct conversations," said Taira Hall, Senior Vice President and Head of SMB Commercial at PayPal.

Emily MacDonald, Head of Revenue Platform at Canva, stated that the integration addresses creators' needs to monetize content without directing customers to external websites.

The PayPal Payment Links app is available globally through the Canva Marketplace. PayPal serves as the Official Payment Partner of Canva Create, scheduled for April 16, 2026 at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles.

Global social commerce sales are projected to exceed $1 trillion by 2028, according to Statista data cited in the company's announcement.
