Miami International Holdings board member Murray Stahl dies

Miami International Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: MIAX) announced the death of board member Murray Stahl, according to a company statement.



Stahl served as a director of MIAX since July 2025. He also served as a director of MIAX Futures since 2013 and as a member of the Bermuda Stock Exchange Council since 2014, both subsidiaries of MIAX.



Thomas P. Gallagher, chairman and chief executive officer of MIAX, said he worked with Stahl for over 15 years. "He was an exceptional leader and a treasured member of our Board whose spirit and support left a lasting influence on MIAX," Gallagher stated.



Stahl was the chief executive officer, chairman of the board and co-founder of Horizon Kinetics Holding Corporation. He also served as chief executive officer of FRMO Corp and held board positions at Texas Pacific Land Corporation and multiple privately-held companies.



Miami International Holdings operates regulated financial markets across multiple asset classes, including eight exchanges covering options, futures, equities and international markets. The company also owns Dorman Trading, a futures commission merchant.
