Polestar reports Q1 2026 retail sales of 13,126 vehicles, up 7%
Polestar (NASDAQ: PSNY) reported retail sales of 13,126 vehicles in the first quarter of 2026, representing a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to a company statement.
The Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer described the figure as its highest first-quarter retail sales total on record. The company sold 12,263 vehicles in the first quarter of 2025.
Polestar expanded its retail network to 230 sales points by the end of the first quarter, compared to 154 locations at the end of the first quarter of 2025, marking a 50% increase.
"Following a record 2025, we've delivered our highest ever first quarter retail sales figure of 13,126 cars," said Michael Lohscheller, Polestar CEO. "Growth compared to the first quarter last year totalled 7%, with a strong performance in key markets such as Australia, Germany, Sweden, South Korea and the UK."
Lohscheller noted that the company's performance demonstrated resilience amid challenging market conditions and ongoing geopolitical developments.
The company plans to expand its sales network to approximately 250 sales points by the end of 2026, representing a 20% increase compared to the end of 2025.
Polestar currently offers four vehicle models and operates in 28 markets across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The company manufactures vehicles in North America and Asia.
