GoodRx offers Eli Lilly's new oral GLP-1 drug at $149 monthly

GoodRx Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: GDRX) announced it will offer self-pay pricing for Eli Lilly and Company's newly FDA-approved oral GLP-1 medication Foundayo at $149 per month for eligible patients.

The prescription savings platform also expanded access to Lilly's Zepbound KwikPen, available to self-pay patients starting at $299 per month through more than 70,000 pharmacies nationwide.

Foundayo, known generically as orforglipron, represents the first oral GLP-1 medication approved for weight management. The pricing aligns with the lowest available discounted cash price at launch, according to the company's press release.

"We're excited to work with Lilly to help bring one of the most anticipated innovations in weight management to patients," said Wendy Barnes, President and CEO of GoodRx. "As new GLP-1 therapies continue to expand, including oral options like Foundayo, it is critical that access evolves alongside innovation."

Laura Steele, Group Vice President of U.S. Cardiometabolic Health at Eli Lilly, stated that the launch "reflects Lilly's continued commitment to expanding treatment options for people living with obesity and advancing meaningful innovation in this category."

The partnership addresses access challenges for GLP-1 treatments, which often face inconsistent or unavailable insurance coverage for weight loss prescriptions. This has prompted pharmaceutical manufacturers to explore direct-to-consumer access models.

GoodRx operates as a prescription savings platform used by nearly 25 million consumers and over one million healthcare professionals annually. The company reports helping Americans save over $100 billion on medication costs since 2011.

Both medications are now available through GoodRx's nationwide pharmacy network for patients seeking prescribed obesity care outside traditional insurance pathways.
