GXO hires Ajit Kara as senior vice president of account management
GXO Logistics Inc. (NYSE: GXO) announced the appointment of Ajit Kara as Senior Vice President of Account Management, a newly created position at the contract logistics provider.
Kara will report to Chief Commercial Officer Karen Bomber and lead the Account Management organization from GXO's headquarters in Greenwich, Connecticut. His responsibilities include enabling growth, value creation and strengthening client partnerships.
The appointment brings more than 25 years of supply chain transformation and client account management experience to GXO. Kara previously served as CEO of the Americas at Prose on Pixels, CEO of Williams Lea Tag, and Managing Director of Client Services at Williams Lea.
"Ajit brings a deep passion for building high-value, long-term client partnerships and driving sustained organic growth by placing proactive account stewardship at the heart of how organizations operate," said Bomber.
Kara stated that joining GXO represents "a natural evolution" for his career, combining his experience in scaling businesses and managing complex client relationships in a global context.
GXO describes itself as the world's largest pure-play contract logistics provider, with more than 150,000 employees across over 1,000 facilities totaling more than 200 million square feet.
