Buckle reports 7% rise in March comparable store sales
The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) reported comparable store net sales increased 7.0 percent for the five-week period ended April 4, 2026, compared to the same period in 2025. Total net sales for the period rose 8.2 percent to $118.0 million from $109.1 million in the prior year.
For the nine-week fiscal period ended April 4, 2026, comparable store net sales increased 7.4 percent year-to-date. Total net sales for the nine-week period grew 8.5 percent to $202.5 million compared to $186.6 million in the prior year period.
The specialty retailer also announced the appointment of Scott A. Werth as Senior Vice President of Stores, effective March 31, 2026. Werth will lead the company's sales team of more than 7,000 employees across 42 states. He has been with Buckle since June 1989, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales and Strategy.
"Scott has a proven track record of developing leaders, providing decisive strategic leadership, and driving measurable results," said Dennis H. Nelson, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Buckle operates 441 retail stores in 42 states as of the reporting period, including one new store opened in Overland Park, Kansas during fiscal March. The company operated 440 stores as of April 9, 2025.
