KB Home relocates headquarters from Los Angeles to Phoenix metro area
KB Home (NYSE: KBH) announced it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Los Angeles to Tempe, Arizona, beginning in spring 2027.
The homebuilder will establish its new headquarters at Hayden Ferry Lakeside in Tempe, bringing executive leadership and corporate functions to a location the company says will lower its cost structure over time. The Phoenix metro area location provides access to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and serves as a more central base within KB Home's nationwide operations.
"This move brings our teams together in a more collaborative environment, and Phoenix is the right place to do it," said Robert McGibney, president and chief executive officer of KB Home. "It positions KB Home to operate more effectively and supports the next phase of our growth."
The relocation builds on KB Home's existing operational foundation in Phoenix, where key corporate functions and leadership are currently based. The company will maintain its presence in California through six operating divisions and more than 100 communities currently open statewide.
KB Home operates in 49 markets and has built over 700,000 homes during its nearly 70-year history, according to the company's press release.
