April 8, 2026 4:15 PM

Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ: COST) reported net sales of $28.41 billion for March 2026, representing an 11.3% increase from $25.51 billion in the same period last year, according to a company statement.

The retailer's net sales for the first 31 weeks reached $173.26 billion, up 9.1% from $158.87 billion in the prior year period.

Comparable sales growth for the five-week period ended April 5, 2026, showed regional variations. U.S. operations posted 8.7% growth, while Canada achieved 10.7% and other international markets recorded 11.9%. Total company comparable sales increased 9.4%.

The company's digitally-enabled sales demonstrated stronger performance with 23.3% growth for the five-week period and 22.0% for the 31-week period.

When excluding impacts from gasoline price changes and foreign exchange fluctuations, comparable sales growth moderated across regions. U.S. sales grew 6.2%, Canada increased 5.4%, and other international markets rose 6.6%. Total company comparable sales, excluding these factors, increased 6.2% for the five-week period.

Costco noted that March had one fewer shopping day compared to the previous year due to Easter's calendar timing, which negatively affected both total and comparable sales by approximately 1.5%.

The company currently operates 928 warehouses globally, including 637 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 115 in Canada, and 176 in other international markets across Mexico, Japan, the United Kingdom, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, China, Spain, France, Sweden, Iceland, and New Zealand.
