OptimizeRx appoints Microsoft health exec to board of directors
OptimizeRx Corp. (NASDAQ: OPRX) appointed Mary Varghese Presti to its board of directors as an independent director, the healthcare technology company announced.
Varghese Presti serves as Corporate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft's Health & Life Sciences organization, where she leads operational strategy for the global business unit. She brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, and technology sectors.
At Microsoft, Varghese Presti focuses on advancing healthcare strategy and operationalizing AI-powered capabilities for clinical applications. Her role involves helping healthcare organizations increase clinical capacity and improve decision-making through data-driven care solutions.
Her career spans leadership positions at Microsoft, Nuance, IBM Watson Health, athenahealth, and Pfizer. She has experience across mergers and acquisitions, including strategic diligence and post-acquisition integration work. At Microsoft, she participated in integration efforts following the Nuance acquisition, while at IBM Watson Health, she managed a life sciences portfolio built through multiple acquisitions.
Varghese Presti began her career as a pediatric nurse at Johns Hopkins before transitioning to healthcare technology leadership roles.
