Psyence BioMed expands Australian clinical sites to five locations

April 8, 2026 9:15 AM

Psyence Biomedical Ltd. (NASDAQ: PBM) announced the expansion of its Australian clinical site network from three to five locations to support its ongoing psilocybin research activities.

The biopharmaceutical company added Ramsay Health Care and NeuroCentrix to its existing network, which includes Empax Centre in Perth, the Mind Medicine Australia Clinic in Melbourne, and Paratus Clinical Research in Melbourne. Patient dosing began at the initial three sites in late 2025.

The expansion supports the company's Phase IIb clinical trial evaluating natural psilocybin for treating Adjustment Disorder in cancer patients in palliative care settings. Southern Star Research conducts the ongoing study.

Psyence BioMed supplies pharmaceutical-grade psilocybin product NPX-5 in 1mg and 5mg capsules for the trial. The company manufactures the GMP-compliant product at PsyLabs' production facility, a private company in which Psyence BioMed has made strategic investments.

"This expansion marks an important step forward in scaling the clinical infrastructure required to advance NPX-5 and support ongoing patient dosing," said Jody Aufrichtig, CEO of Psyence BioMed. "By adding high-quality clinical partners such as Ramsay Health Care and NeuroCentrix, we are strengthening our ability to execute efficiently, accelerate enrollment, and generate meaningful clinical data."

The company stated the additional sites are expected to strengthen patient recruitment and accelerate enrollment in the multi-site trial. The information is based on a company press release statement.
