Rubrik named preferred cybersecurity provider by American Hospital Association
Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK) has been selected as a preferred cybersecurity provider by the American Hospital Association, giving the data protection company access to nearly 5,000 member hospitals across the United States.
The designation allows Rubrik to offer cyber resilience tools, data protection services, ransomware training, and financial risk analysis to AHA member organizations. The AHA represents approximately 90 percent of the nation's hospitals and health systems, including more than 420,000 healthcare workers.
"Ransomware attacks that knock critical care systems offline threaten patient and community safety," said John Riggi, National Advisor for Cybersecurity and Risk at AHA. "As an AHA preferred provider for cyber resiliency, we can confidently recommend Rubrik as a reliable source to defend against and recover from sophisticated cyberthreats and ransomware attacks for our hospitals and healthcare system."
The AHA's Preferred Cybersecurity & Risk Provider Program identifies vetted service providers that can help hospitals protect their operations from cyberattacks and physical threats. Healthcare facilities have increasingly become targets for ransomware attacks that can force facility shutdowns.
Rubrik will offer AHA members a Cyber Resilience Bundle that includes Identity Recovery services and Microsoft 365 protection. The package also provides a ransomware-response workshop and a five-year financial impact assessment to help providers evaluate and address cyber risks.
"Cyber resilience is essential now that frequent cyberattacks jeopardize the financial stability of healthcare systems and the safety of their patients," said Josh Howell, Healthcare Chief Technology Officer at Rubrik.
The services are designed to help healthcare organizations maintain what Rubrik calls a "Minimum Viable Hospital" during cyberattacks, focusing on protecting critical applications and enabling rapid recovery of essential systems.
