SLB OneSubsea signs collaboration agreement with PETRONAS Suriname
SLB (NYSE: SLB) announced that its OneSubsea unit and Subsea7 signed a strategic collaboration agreement with PETRONAS Suriname E&P B.V., a subsidiary of PETRONAS, according to a company statement.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration across project lifecycles to develop subsea solutions in Suriname's offshore basin. Under the arrangement, the Subsea Integration Alliance, comprising SLB OneSubsea and Subsea7, may provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning solutions for multiple discoveries in Suriname.
The scope includes subsea production systems and subsea umbilical, riser, and flowlines components. The partnership enables early involvement to co-develop solutions and accelerate field development timelines.
"Collaboration and simplification are key to unlocking resources faster," said Mads Hjelmeland, chief executive officer of SLB OneSubsea. "This agreement strengthens our long-standing relationship with PETRONAS Suriname and enables us to align on shared goals to improve project performance, enhance safety, and deliver sustainable outcomes."
Olivier Blaringhem, CEO of Subsea Integration Alliance, stated the partnership will leverage the combined deepwater expertise of Subsea7 and SLB OneSubsea to develop opportunities in Suriname's frontier basins.
SLB OneSubsea is a joint venture backed by SLB, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7, headquartered in Oslo and Houston with 10,000 employees globally.
