Abeona Therapeutics names Keith Goldan to board of directors
Abeona Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: ABEO) appointed Keith A. Goldan as an independent member to its board of directors, effective April 1. Goldan will serve as chairman of the company's audit committee.
Goldan brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience in publicly traded biotechnology and specialty pharmaceutical companies. He currently serves as chief financial officer of Syndax Pharmaceuticals, a position he has held since 2022, where he has provided leadership through two product approvals and commercialization.
Previously, Goldan served as chief financial officer at Optinose, a specialty pharmaceutical company, where he helped build infrastructure to support the US launch of its lead product. He also held CFO roles at Fibrocell, a cell and gene therapy company, as well as at NuPathe, PuriCore plc and Biosyn.
Throughout his career, Goldan has led finance, accounting, IT, HR and corporate development functions. He has experience raising capital through multiple initial public offerings and capital market transactions, and has executed several merger and acquisition transactions.
"Keith's deep experience in capital markets, corporate development, and operational scaling will be an invaluable voice as we continue to position Abeona for growth as a commercial-stage biotech company," said Michael Amoroso, chairman of Abeona's board of directors.
Abeona Therapeutics is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company developing cell and gene therapies. The company's ZEVASKYN is an autologous cell-based gene therapy for treating wounds in patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.
