Cycurion Inc. (NASDAQ: CYCU) filed an amended complaint in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia identifying Michael S. Emo of Madera, California, as the individual behind anonymous social media accounts that posted allegedly defamatory content about the company.

The cybersecurity company said its investigation linked Emo to the pseudonymous accounts "E1111" on Stocktwits and "em2391" on Reddit through court-ordered subpoenas, IP address matching, email records, and geolocation data. The accounts allegedly posted statements accusing Cycurion of being a "scam" and engaging in fraudulent activities, while making personal attacks against CEO Kevin Kelly.

The amended complaint, filed under Case No. 1:26-cv-00489, names Emo as the defendant previously identified as John Doe 1 and John Doe 2. Cycurion and Kelly seek compensatory and punitive damages, along with injunctive relief to halt further allegedly defamatory publications and require removal of existing posts.

"Our team has the products, capabilities, and tradecraft to identify those who hide behind anonymity to spread lies and harm our shareholders," Kelly said in a statement. "We tracked and identified these accounts, and our investigation continues."

The McLean, Virginia-based company said it also investigating individuals responsible for an unauthorized press release and coordinated short-selling efforts. Cycurion provides cybersecurity solutions and AI-driven services to government, enterprise, and critical infrastructure clients.

The company said its internal cybersecurity team continues monitoring for additional threats while focusing on expanding its contract backlog and advancing its proprietary ARx platform.
