WW International Inc. (NASDAQ: WW) announced the appointment of Lisa Gavales and Sue Gove as independent directors to its board, effective April 7, 2026. Both executives will serve until the company's 2026 annual shareholder meeting and are expected to stand for election at that time.

Following these appointments, WW International's board consists of six directors, all of whom are independent. The company stated that both new directors bring consumer brand leadership experience and expertise in digital transformation.

Gavales previously served as Chair of the Office of the CEO at Destination Maternity Corp., Interim CEO of Bluestem Group, and Chief Marketing Officer at Express. She has over 30 years of experience in consumer and retail operations, including senior roles at Talbots and Bloomingdale's. Gavales holds an MBA and B.S. in Marketing from the University of Bridgeport.

Gove most recently served as president and CEO and board member of Bed Bath & Beyond after serving as Interim CEO. She previously held CEO positions at Vitamin World and Golfsmith International, where she also served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership positions at Zale Corporation, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. She currently serves on the board of directors of LKQ Corporation and holds a B.B.A in Accounting from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.

Gene Davis, Chairman of WW International's board, said the appointments reflect the board's commitment to overseeing the company's transformation and delivering value to shareholders. Nikolaj Sjoqvist, Chairman of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, stated the appointments followed a months-long process to identify directors with appropriate skills for the company's growth objectives.
