Fox teams with Kalshi to integrate prediction market data across networks
Fox Corporation (NASDAQ: FOXA) announced an integration with prediction market platform Kalshi to incorporate market data across Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, Fox Weather and the Fox One streaming platform.
The sponsored integration will include Kalshi's real-time data in Fox's linear and digital content. Kalshi will work with Fox data and production teams to provide data visualization for political, economic, weather and cultural stories.
Kalshi reports that millions of people visit its platform monthly, with approximately 70% checking market odds while 30% trade on the platform. The company operates what it describes as the largest prediction market.
"More people are watching Kalshi's forecasts than trading them, which says a lot: our data effectively complements news and polls," said Tarek Mansour, Kalshi's co-founder and CEO.
Paul Cheesbrough, CEO of Tubi Media Group, said prediction markets have become "an essential data point" for Fox's content portfolio.
Fox News Channel has maintained the top position in cable news ratings for 24 consecutive years. Fox Business Network holds the leading position among business channels on cable. Fox News Media reaches nearly 200 million people monthly and streams on Fox One, the company's direct-to-consumer platform.
The integration represents an expansion of prediction market data usage in mainstream media, with Fox citing the data as a supplement to traditional polling and expert analysis for news coverage.
