Freight Technologies launches AI customs compliance platform for Mexico trade

April 7, 2026 6:38 AM

Freight Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: FRGT) announced the commercial launch of DODA Smart, an AI-powered platform designed to automate customs compliance processes for trade operators working across the U.S.-Mexico border.

The platform automatically verifies, monitors and traces Digital Customs Documents for customs agencies, freight forwarders, carriers and import-exporters. DODA Smart synchronizes with Mexico's Tax Administration Service to provide real-time compliance intelligence.

The system addresses requirements from Mexico's 2026 Customs Law Reform, which mandates new digital recordkeeping and traceability standards. The platform processes both PDF and image-based DODA files using pattern recognition and language model interpretation to extract key information into a centralized database.

Key features include 24/7 synchronization with Mexican tax authorities, automated document verification, a unified control dashboard for monitoring customs operations, and generation of audit-ready digital files. The platform offers tiered pricing from free access for up to three documents daily to enterprise subscription plans.

"DODA Smart is the next logical step in Fr8Tech's mission to remove friction from every layer of cross-border trade," said Javier Selgas, Chief Executive Officer of Freight Technologies.

The platform integrates with Freight Technologies' existing suite of logistics solutions, including Fr8App for cross-border shipping, Zayren for freight rate prediction, and Fleet Rocket for transportation management. The company developed DODA Smart through its in-house AI Lab.

Freight Technologies operates technology platforms serving supply chain optimization across the USMCA region. The launch of DODA Smart supports the company's strategy to expand subscription-based software revenue.
