April 7, 2026 3:58 AM

Vietnam Helicopter Corporation subsidiaries Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company and Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company have ordered three Airbus H225 helicopters from Airbus Group (OTC: EADSY), according to a company statement.

The helicopters will support offshore energy operations and replace aging aircraft in the Vietnamese operator's fleet. The order extends a partnership between VNH and Airbus Helicopters that spans more than 40 years.

"The H225 has proven itself time and again across our offshore missions, delivering the reliability, performance, and safety we expect," said Kieu Dang Hung, CEO of VNH. "As we look ahead, we see the H225 forming the backbone of our future fleet, allowing us to modernise our operations while expanding capacity and mission flexibility."

The new H225s will join VNH's existing Airbus fleet consisting of Super Puma and H155 helicopters. The aircraft will be deployed for offshore energy transport, utility missions, search and rescue, and transport operations.

Matthieu Louvot, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, said the company is honored to continue supporting VNH as they strengthen their fleet. He noted that VNH's decision to center future operations around the H225 demonstrates the aircraft's reliability in offshore environments.

The H225 is part of the Super Puma family and features avionics and autopilot systems designed to increase safety while reducing pilot workload, according to the press release.
