Exponent promotes John Pye to president, Eric Anderson to CFO
Exponent Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPO) announced leadership changes effective May 1, 2026, with John Pye promoted to president and Eric Anderson appointed chief financial officer, both reporting to CEO Catherine Corrigan.
Pye joined the engineering and scientific consulting firm in 1999 and has held various positions including principal engineer, director of the Test and Engineering Center in Phoenix, and vice president of Global Offices and Innovation. Anderson joined Exponent as controller in 2003 and has served as vice president of Finance and Accounting since 2024.
Richard Schlenker, the current CFO and executive vice president, will continue as executive vice president and has been nominated to stand for election to the board of directors. Paul Johnston, chairman of the board and former CEO, will retire from the board effective at the annual stockholders meeting on June 4, 2026.
Karen Richardson, currently the lead independent director, will become chairman of the board following Johnston's retirement. Johnston has served with Exponent for 45 years according to the company statement.
The Menlo Park, California-based company operates with more than 90 technical disciplines and 950 consultants across offices in North America, Asia, and Europe. Exponent provides engineering and scientific consulting services to multiple industries including failure analysis and safety consulting.
The leadership transitions come as the company continues its operations in engineering consulting and scientific analysis services for multinational companies, law firms, insurance companies, and government entities.
