Tapestry appoints Pinterest CTO Matt Madrigal to board of directors
Tapestry Inc. (NYSE: TPR) announced the appointment of Matt Madrigal, chief technology officer of Pinterest Inc. (NYSE: PINS), to its board of directors effective immediately. The appointment brings the board's membership to eleven, including ten independent directors.
Madrigal oversees engineering, product, design, and platform operations at Pinterest, a visual search and discovery platform with more than 600 million monthly active users worldwide. He brings experience at the intersection of technology, e-commerce, and consumer behavior.

Prior to Pinterest, Madrigal served as vice president and general manager of merchant shopping at Google, where he led product and engineering teams for Google Shopping. He previously held the role of chief technology and product officer at Fanatics and served as senior vice president of ecommerce and marketing for Williams-Sonoma Inc. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years leading product and engineering for eBay's growth marketing and onsite advertising technology platforms.

Tapestry operates a portfolio of accessories and lifestyle brands including Coach and Kate Spade New York. The company's stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol TPR.
