Cheniere announces board leadership changes effective 2026

Cheniere Energy Inc. (NYSE: LNG) announced board leadership changes that will take effect at the company's 2026 annual shareholders meeting on May 14, 2026, according to a company statement.



G. Andrea Botta will retire as chairman after serving 16 years as a director, including 10 years as chairman. Jack A. Fusco, currently president and chief executive officer, will assume the combined role of chairman, president and chief executive officer following Botta's retirement.



Patricia K. Collawn will become lead director as part of the leadership transition. The company stated that Collawn's position as lead director reinforces governance and ensures independent oversight.



Botta joined the Cheniere board in 2010 and served as chairman for a decade. Fusco has led the company as president and chief executive officer for 10 years. Collawn has served on the board since 2021.



The Houston-based company operates liquefied natural gas facilities at Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi on the U.S. Gulf Coast with total production capacity exceeding 53 million tonnes per annum of LNG in operation and approximately 8 million tonnes per annum of production capacity under construction.



Cheniere describes itself as a producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas in the United States, providing gas procurement and transportation, liquefaction, vessel chartering and LNG delivery services.
