Expand Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: EXE) appointed Marcel Teunissen as chief financial officer, effective April 6, 2026, according to a company statement.

Teunissen previously served as president of North America for Parkland Corporation, where he led operations across the United States and Canada. From 2020 to 2024, he held the role of chief financial officer at Parkland, overseeing financial strategy, capital markets and investor engagement during the company's growth through acquisitions and business transformation.

Before joining Parkland, Teunissen spent more than 20 years with Shell plc in finance, commercial and strategy positions across upstream and integrated gas businesses. His roles at Shell included vice president of finance for integrated gas ventures and executive vice president of finance for global integrated gas and new energies, based in the Netherlands.

"Marcel brings a rare blend of financial depth, disciplined strategic leadership, and hands-on operations experience across the full energy value chain," said Michael Wichterich, Expand Energy's chairman of the board, interim president and chief executive officer.

Teunissen holds a master's degree in economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Expand Energy describes itself as North America's largest natural gas producer. The company operates with a focus on connecting natural gas supply to growing markets through what it characterizes as a returns-driven strategy.
