Covista (NYSE: CVSA) announced that Michael Betz has been appointed Chief Growth & Innovation Officer, expanding his responsibilities to include oversight of the company's marketing organization. Betz will retain his positions as President of Walden University and leader of the digital organization.

The expanded role combines Covista's marketing and digital innovation functions under unified leadership. Betz previously served as a partner at McKinsey & Co., where he led the firm's higher education and growth transformation practices. He also held executive positions at Ellucian as Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership roles at Strayer University.

As part of the organizational restructuring, Maurice Herrera will step down from his role as Chief Marketing Officer. Herrera contributed to building the company's marketing organization and led branding initiatives during his tenure.

Covista operates as a healthcare education company serving more than 97,000 students across five accredited institutions, including American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Chamberlain University, Ross University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and Walden University.
