Israel's natural gas flows to Egypt return to pre-war levels

April 6, 2026 7:53 AM

Investing.com -- Israel's natural gas exports to Egypt have returned to normal levels following the resumption of production at its largest gas field, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

Supplies from Israel's Leviathan and Tamar gas fields restarted on Saturday and have reached their typical level of around 1.1 billion cubic feet per day, according to the report.

Israel had cut gas flows to Egypt after the Iran war caused a temporary shutdown of some fields. Egypt responded to the shortfall by expediting LNG shipments it contracted in mega deals last year.
