Centene hires Daniel Finke, promotes Michael Carson to new leadership roles
Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) announced the creation of two executive leadership positions reporting to Chief Executive Officer Sarah London. The healthcare company hired Daniel Finke as Group President, Markets and Commercial, and appointed Michael Carson to Group President, Medicare and Specialty.
Finke joins Centene from Convey Health Solutions, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. He previously held executive positions at CVS Health and Aetna, leading strategy and operations across Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance businesses. In his new role, Finke will oversee the Medicaid and Commercial segments.
Carson, who joined Centene in January 2024 as CEO of its Medicare business Wellcare, will have expanded oversight of the company's Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Duals, and Specialty businesses. Before joining Centene, Carson served as Chief Executive Officer for Bright Healthcare, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and CareAbout.
