Illumina names David King to board as three directors retire
Illumina Inc. (NASDAQ: ILMN) announced changes to its board of directors, with three current members retiring and one new nomination ahead of the company's annual shareholder meeting.
Frances Arnold, Robert S. Epstein, and Gary S. Guthart will retire from the board in connection with the upcoming annual meeting. The board has nominated David P. King for election as a new director.
King previously served as executive chairman and CEO of Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings. The retiring directors helped guide the company through what Gottlieb described as a period of transformation. Arnold holds a PhD, Epstein is a medical doctor, and Guthart holds a PhD.
