InterDigital signs licensing deals with Buffalo Americas and TV maker
InterDigital Inc. (NASDAQ: IDCC) announced it has signed a patent license agreement with Buffalo Americas Inc. and new agreements with an unnamed global television manufacturer, according to a company statement.
The agreement with Buffalo Americas covers the company's network devices under InterDigital's patent portfolio related to Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 standards. Buffalo Americas provides data storage solutions.
The television manufacturer agreements relate to InterDigital's HEVC video portfolio and the company's Madison joint licensing program with Sony.
"These agreements are further proof of the breadth of our innovation across wireless, video and AI," said Julia Mattis, Chief Licensing Officer at InterDigital. "Following our renewals with Xiaomi and Sony and our new agreement with LG Electronics, we are making excellent progress against our long-term licensing goals."
InterDigital develops wireless, video and artificial intelligence technologies and licenses its patents to companies that manufacture wireless devices, consumer electronics and other connected products. The Wilmington, Delaware-based company was founded in 1972.
