AAON names new CFO and general counsel in leadership changes
AAON Inc. (NASDAQ: AAON) announced leadership changes including the appointment of Andy Cheung as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective April 20, 2026.
Cheung will succeed Rebecca Thompson, who will transition to chief accounting officer, a position she held before becoming CFO in 2021. Cheung previously served as executive vice president and CFO at Commercial Vehicle Group Inc. for three years and has more than 25 years of experience in senior financial roles within the HVAC and automotive industries. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
"I'm excited to join the Company at an important time in its growth," Cheung said. "Their focus on innovation and delivering high-quality, customer-driven solutions has created a strong foundation, and I look forward to partnering with the team to support its next phase of disciplined growth and value creation."
Thompson will continue as a licensed certified public accountant and will focus on financial reporting, governance, and accounting operations across the organization.
The Tulsa-based HVAC solutions company also appointed Luke Bomer as general counsel, effective April 1. Bomer previously worked as an attorney at Tulsa-based Johnson & Jones for nearly two decades and has served as AAON's outside counsel and corporate secretary since 2015. He graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law and specializes in corporate law, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, and charitable foundations.
"I have had the pleasure of working with them for nearly 19 years during my tenure at Johnson & Jones," Bomer said. "I look forward to partnering with the leadership team in this new role to facilitate disciplined execution and create long-term shareholder value."
President and CEO Matt Tobolski said the changes will strengthen the company's ability to execute with discipline and reinforce governance frameworks.
AAON, founded in 1988, manufactures HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial applications and is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
