GXO opens new distribution center for Pandora in Canada
GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) announced it opened a new distribution center in Mississauga, Ontario, for jewelry brand Pandora. The facility marks an expansion of the companies' existing partnership, which includes distribution centers across the United States, United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
The Ontario facility will handle ecommerce fulfillment and features technology solutions including lighted picking systems for order assembly and video capture for high-value shipments. Pandora will utilize GXO's regional transportation network from the new location.
"We are pleased to expand our partnership with Pandora into the Canadian market, further supporting the brand's accelerating omnichannel growth through localized, in-country fulfillment," said Michael Jacobs, President, Americas and Asia Pacific at GXO.
Carsten Olsen, VP of Global Omni Operations at Pandora, said the new site will allow the company to serve Canadian customers faster while building supply chain resilience.
GXO describes itself as a contract logistics provider with more than 150,000 employees across more than 1,000 facilities. The company is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut. Pandora operates in more than 100 countries through approximately 7,000 points of sale, including more than 2,800 concept stores, and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.
