TopBuild Corp. (NYSE: BLD) announced the promotion of John Achille from chief operating officer to president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.

In his expanded role, Achille will oversee day-to-day operations of TopBuild's Installation Services and Specialty Distribution businesses, according to the company's statement. His responsibilities will include the Supply Chain organization and all growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions. Achille will continue reporting to Robert Buck, TopBuild's chief executive officer.

"John is a purpose-driven leader who has managed nearly all of our businesses and has delivered outstanding results," Buck said in the announcement. "John is the right leader to take on this role as we continue to drive profitable growth and deliver operational excellence."

Achille joined TopBuild in 2021 when the company acquired American Building Systems, where he served as vice president of their Coastal Insulation business. He previously held the position of executive vice president of TruTeam and served in various leadership roles across Distribution International, Service Partners, and TruTeam. Prior to joining TopBuild, Achille worked in project engineering and project management for Turner Construction.

The Daytona Beach, Florida-based company operates as an installer of insulation and commercial roofing and serves as a specialty distributor of insulation and related building products to the construction industry in the United States and Canada. TopBuild's Installation Services segment operates over 200 branches across the United States, while its Specialty Distribution network includes more than 250 branches across the United States and Canada.
