Freight Technologies explores sale of brokerage unit in AI pivot

April 2, 2026 6:31 AM

Freight Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: FRGT) announced it is exploring strategic alternatives for its online brokerage operations, including a potential sale, as the company transitions to focus on AI-powered logistics software.

The Houston-based company said its board of directors is overseeing the evaluation of strategic alternatives for the brokerage operations and has engaged with multiple interested parties. The company emphasized that discussions are preliminary and exploratory, with no assurance that the process will result in a transaction.

"Evaluating strategic alternatives for our brokerage business is the logical next step in that journey," said Javier Selgas, chief executive officer. "It reflects our conviction that the highest-value path forward is one where our capital, our talent, and our technology are fully concentrated on software."

Freight Technologies has been transitioning from an over-the-road freight broker to a software-first company since early 2025. The company's software platforms include Fleet Rocket, a cloud-based transportation management system; Zayren, an AI pricing and carrier-matching platform; and Fr8Radar, a real-time geolocation module.

Fleet Rocket has expanded to enterprise clients and includes features such as AI Tendering Bot, GPS tracking, and enterprise resource planning integration. Zayren Pro, the premium version of the AI platform, launched in January 2026 with unlimited AI agent usage and a carrier portal for self-onboarding.

Fr8Radar now integrates 73 GPS network providers across the United States and Mexico. The company said these deployments represent a unified platform generating recurring software contracts.

The company's full product portfolio remains operational and commercially available, according to the statement. Freight Technologies focuses on cross-border logistics between the United States and Mexico, targeting what it describes as a fragmented market with limited technology adoption.
