VIAVI Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) announced a partnership with Ground Control to integrate its Secure µPNT STL-1000 receiver into Ground Control's RockFLEET Assured asset tracking and navigation solution for maritime vessels operating in environments where GPS signals are unavailable or compromised.

The Secure µPNT STL-1000 is a compact software-defined receiver designed to work with VIAVI's SecureTime altGNSS LEO services. The device provides precise timing with holdover capability and enables tracking, authentication and navigation in what the company terms Denied, Degraded, and Disrupted Space Operational Environment (D3SOE).

RockFLEET Assured is described as a marine-grade Assured Position, Navigation and Timing solution designed to support maritime vessel navigation and oversight when GPS and Global Navigation Satellite System signals are denied.

"With jamming and spoofing now a core element of cyber warfare, resilient PNT solutions are no longer optional," said Doug Russell, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Aerospace and Defense at VIAVI. "The Secure µPNT STL-1000 enables assured, uninterrupted operations, especially in contested environments."

Alastair MacLeod, CEO of Ground Control, stated that integrating VIAVI's receiver into RockFLEET Assured "delivers a trusted secondary position source, strengthening resilience for mission‑critical operations across defense, maritime and critical infrastructure environments."

VIAVI develops test and measurement technologies and optical solutions for various sectors including data centers, communication networks, military, aerospace, railway and first responder communications. The company is based in Chandler, Arizona.
