L3Harris supports Artemis II launch with propulsion and avionics systems
L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) announced it provided propulsion and avionics systems for the Artemis II mission, which launched as the first crewed journey toward the moon in more than 50 years.
The company supplied more than 100 components for the mission, including RS-25 engines for the Space Launch System core stage, the RL10 engine for the Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage, and the Orion Main engine for the translunar injection burn. L3Harris also provided in-space thrusters for course corrections, 40 avionics systems for launch vehicle control and monitoring, and the Orion audio system for astronaut communications.

The mission is planned as a 10-day journey around the moon. The company stated the mission will demonstrate L3Harris capabilities in support of NASA's Artemis campaign and vision for sustained human presence on the moon.
