SIKORA announces three wire and cable measurement systems
SIKORA, a subsidiary of MAAG Group and Dover (NYSE: DOV), announced three new measurement systems for wire and cable manufacturing on April 1. The products include additions to the LASER PRO diameter measurement series, the X-RAY 6000 measurement system, and the LM PRO length measuring system.
The new LASER PRO model measures cable diameters up to 110 millimeters, designed for high-voltage lines and sheath systems. This extends the existing LASER PRO series, which measures product diameters from 0.1 to 51 millimeters.
The X-RAY 6000 PRO and X-RAY 6000 PURE systems monitor wall thickness, eccentricity and diameter for insulating and sheathing lines. The company states these systems support production optimization and material consumption reduction.
The LM PRO Length Measuring System provides contact-free measurement of cable length and speed with accuracy of ±0.05%. The system includes direction and standstill detection and measures from 0 meters per minute without requiring recalibration after commissioning.
"Our latest innovations will help cable manufacturers improve product quality, reduce material consumption and maintain stable, efficient production processes," said Dr. Christian Frank, General Manager of SIKORA, according to the company's statement.
SIKORA will display these products at wire 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, from April 13-17. The trade fair expects over 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries.
SIKORA operates as part of MAAG Group's Measurement & Control Systems division. Dover reported annual revenue exceeding $8 billion and employs approximately 24,000 people across five operating segments.
