Condor Energies completes third horizontal well, names new COO

April 1, 2026 8:01 AM

Condor Energies Inc. (TSX: CDR) completed drilling of its third horizontal well in Uzbekistan and appointed Matt Pachell as chief operating officer, the company announced.

The Kumli-46 horizontal well reached total depth of 3,150 meters with an 817-meter open-hole lateral section. The well recorded gas shows exceeding 25% in 141 meters of lateral section and shows of 50% or greater in more than 65 meters of lateral section during drilling operations.

The well targets the same upper reservoir interval as the previously drilled K-45 vertical well, which flowed at 5.3 million standard cubic feet per day through a half-inch choke for seven hours with flowing tubing pressure of 1,053 pounds per square inch during recent testing.

Condor said completion activities for K-46 are underway, including an acid wash of the lateral section. Testing is expected to finish by mid-April 2026, with pipeline tie-in activities in progress. The drilling rig will move to the K-47 location on the same pad to drill in the opposite direction targeting the same reservoir interval.

The company plans two additional upper reservoir horizontal wells from a second drilling pad and up to four additional horizontal wells targeting a lower reservoir identified by K-45.

Pachell was promoted from senior vice president of asset development and exploration. He will oversee operations, project execution and technical functions for the company's Central Asian operations.

Condor operates natural gas and condensate production in Uzbekistan under a production enhancement contract where it recognizes 100% of volumes and revenues, then allocates 49% to a non-controlling interest holder.
