Heartland Express Inc. (NASDAQ: HTLD) announced that Dr. Benjamin J. Allen, a board member for 31 years, will not seek re-election at the company's 2026 annual stockholders meeting.

Allen notified the company of his decision on March 25, 2026. He will continue serving as a director and as chairperson of the compensation committee and member of the audit and risk committee until the annual meeting.

The company stated that Allen's decision was not due to any disagreement with management, the board, or related to company operations, policies, or practices.

The trucking company thanked Allen for his service spanning more than three decades on the board.
