Ingram Micro earns Microsoft Frontier Distributor designation

March 31, 2026 4:01 PM

Ingram Micro Holding Corporation (NYSE: INGM) announced it has earned the Microsoft Frontier Distributor designation, a recognition recently introduced as part of the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program to identify distributors that meet standards of performance, support and enablement.

The designation recognizes Ingram Micro's ability to help Microsoft channel partners move from AI experimentation to AI execution at scale across cloud, security and services. The achievement complements the distributor's existing Microsoft Support Services designation.

"In the AI era, advantage shifts to those who can operationalize innovation across ecosystems — not just within their own organizations," said Jessica Davis, principal analyst at OMDIA. "Microsoft's Frontier Distributor designation reflects the growing expectation that distribution is an enablement layer."

The Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program was designed to help identify world-class, modern distributors. Ingram Micro's designation reflects its investments in platform innovation, partner enablement, technical support and go-to-market capabilities, according to the company's announcement.

"This global recognition reflects the evolution and strength of our relationship with Microsoft and our channel partners, especially those leading with and leaning into AI," said Duncan Robinson, VP of Global Cloud at Ingram Micro. "Together, we're helping the channel move from AI experimentation to AI execution."

Ingram Micro operates as a technology distributor in the global IT ecosystem, serving business-to-business technology experts through its AI-powered digital platform, Ingram Micro Xvantage. The company provides technology services including financing, specialized marketing, lifecycle management, and technical support services.
