CNBC to broadcast daily from Cboe's Chicago trading floor starting April 6

March 31, 2026 10:00 AM

Cboe Global Markets (CBOE: CBOE) and CNBC announced a multi-year collaboration that will bring daily CNBC programming to Cboe's Chicago trading floor beginning April 6, according to a press release statement.

CNBC will expand its live market coverage with real-time analysis of breaking news, market volatility, and options activity from the trading floor across its linear and digital platforms. The collaboration comes as U.S. options trading volume reached 15.2 billion contracts in 2025, up 26% from 2024.

Cboe's trading floor hosts more than 300 brokers, market makers and trading-floor professionals. The facility operates through a hybrid model that combines open-outcry and electronic trading, providing liquidity and price discovery for S&P 500 Index options, Cboe Volatility Index options, and other index and multi-list options.

"Chicago has long been a cornerstone of the global financial markets and home to many of the world's most sophisticated options traders, market makers, and clearing firms," said Craig Donohue, Chief Executive Officer of Cboe Global Markets.

David Cho, Editor-in-Chief of CNBC, said the collaboration "strengthens CNBC's ability to deliver on-the-ground reporting and expert analysis from the center of options activity."

As part of the partnership, CNBC will utilize proprietary Cboe data for options market reporting. Coverage will be led by a dedicated options reporter and include live market analysis and guest interviews. CNBC will also broadcast Cboe's opening and closing bell ceremonies and establish a broadcast studio on the trading floor later in the year.
